Documentary Films
Tom has captured personal stories in the documentary medium for 20 years. His award-winning works have been featured in regional film festivals and on public television. The documentary-style presentation is excellent way to market your organization by telling the real-life stories of the people in your world.
Educational Videos
Tom's background in education - a former residential program director and special education teacher - equips him to cover human interest stories. He can also effectively organize information for educators and human service professionals in a video format. He has completed projects for High Point Regional Hospital, UNCG Greensboro, Reading Connections, CENTe-R, Cornerstone Health Care, EQuIPD and B'nai Shalom Day School.
Narrative Movies
Tom's team is currently working on a feature-length screenplay to tell the little-known story of the Bennett College 1938 Theater Boycott. He has produced Quarterback Sneak (2007) and his screenplay The Final Spring Break is ready to go (pending investors)! Tom has led a team many years in the 48 Hour Film Festival - producing writing, directing, editing and acting in a short movie created entirely in a weekend. His 2017 movie Yogate won the Audience Award.

Television and Radio Announcing
Tom currently serves as the voice (or hiss) of the Carolina Cobras National Arena League professional arena football team. His play-by-play announcing can be accessed live on YouTube and at the historic Greensboro Coliseum. He also produces and hosts BelleAir Radio, a weekly radio program on SiriusXM Channel 142: HBCU. He has also provided play-by-play and color commentary for several area professional wrestling leagues.
Live Streaming Events
In his role as Assistant Professor of Journalism and Media Studies at Bennett College, Tom streams and archives dozens of live events each semester from the Bennett College Campus using the Wirecast and YouTube Live platforms. Campus events include commencement events, faculty training sessions, choir shows, convocations, lectures, panel discussions and research presentations. He has also covered National Association of Black Journalists Convention programs, the Greensboro News and Record's Voices for a Stronger Guilford community discussions, Guilford County Schools counselor training sessions and Cornerstone Health Care staff development sessions and Greensboro Montessori School's musical performances.
Multimedia Training
Tom stays up to date on current technologies you can utilize to make your teaching and media production work easier. Tom has owned iPhones going back to the iPhone 1, and he understands the power of this technology in expanding the reach and accessibility of journalism. He currently serves as Bennett College Director of Distance Learning, and explores ways to use new software to advance student learning. He teaches many of the AdobeCC programs in his media courses.
